A game us techies love to play: “how many Kindles has Amazon sold today?” Ever since the Kindles release back in 2007 Amazon has always refused to say how many have been sold. From vague press releases to “growth rate” quotes we haven’t really ever heard how many are being sold.
We got sort of a preview with Amazon crowning “For the third week in a row, customers are purchasing well over 1 million Kindle devices per week,” on their website.
With the Amazon Kindle Fire which began shipping on November 15th, do you think the Kindle can compete with the Apple iPad? Analysts have predicted Amazon will sell 5 million kindles by the end of the year, and I’m not surprised if they hit that mark.
