Global travelers like myself are feeling restricted my most global phones, I feel Verizon customers suffer the most from this because CDMA network is totally useless almost everywhere else in the world. There are few existing smartphones that were produced as Global phones to name a few: the DROID 2 Global, Incredible 2 and the DROID 3 are featured on the line-up. Sadly they haven’t made one that utilizes Verizon’s advanced LTE Network. According to some leaks featured at droidlife and engadget, HTC and LG have something tangible in the works.

Through The Grapevine: Verizon LTE world phone Rumors
We here at device planet have heard some rumors of two Verizon LTE world phones: the HTC Fireball and the LG Spectrum (AKA the LG Revolution II.) Both of the phones were marked as ‘global’ in the Verizon listings. So far the only G-phone to utilize a 4g network is the iPhone 4s, but I haven’t given in to the Apple craze.
Early Demise for Verizon LTE world phone?
This is still a new feature, so sizable roaming charges with still apply for global LTE and Roaming, so I may hold out on the Verizon LTE world phone and continue using my internet-less dumb-phone while globe-trotting.
