Looking for faster netbooks? DevicePlanet has great news!
Netbooks are whack. Why? Fall backs include poor browser speed, graphics capabilities, and weak battery life for netbooks with stonger processors. Want to have the best netbook? Intel has now officially announced that its new Cedar Trail Atom processors are available with the first systems using them set to roll out early next year (CT benchmarks) .
What is a netbook?
A netbook is a laptop-type device but with all the hardware targeted toward the browser allowing for better portabilty and much longer battery life on a single charge. Built for the sake of portability netbooks and ultra books often do not have an optical drive. They are cloud devices. Instead the computer uses the browser as a client and after accessing your cloud server you can have access to all your files and applications without bogging down the computer. Cloud computing performance is based on the processing hardware and internet infrastructure.
A common problem: slow netbooks
A lot of companies are creating crap devices. Android being the the OS requiring the least amount of hardware power. Don’t buy a crap android one, you wont be happy. My personal opinion, Android is better for tablets but would I take the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, an Android device but in BOTH the tablet and netbook category. It’s really a very cool device with RIDICULOUS battery life.
Faster netbooks: Mission Completed
Two chips you’ll likely be seeing are the popular Atom N2600 and N2800 — two dual-core chips, both designed specifically for use in netbooks, where they promising up to ten hours of battery life and, dare i say it,”weeks of standby,” and support for Full HD 1080p video playback. Also being introduced today are the D2500 and D2700, designed for use in entry-level desktops and all-in-one computers, as well as more commercial systems this chip means business. As far as the systems themselves, details remain wispy, but these will be faster netbooks than what you are seeing currently.
Many netbooks are lame, android, obviously made in china crap, no performance, no specs appeal .(Haha) And companies are still charging half the price of a full size notebook. A laptop is twice the price but tens times the machine of a netbook. That is, unless your netbook sports a custom netbook processer such as the Intel Atom Cedar Trail Series that can run windows 7! Faster netbooks= Better OS.
Intel makes faster netbooks that don’t suck.
Intel says you can expect to see their new chips in some high speed netbooks from Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo,
Samsung, and Toshiba on shelves very soon! Possibly even by the time this article is posted.
