Free software saves the day!
The other day i was putting together a computer for my mom and she wanted it to have , Windows 7, Photoshop, Firefox, Skype, VLC player for her amazing home theater and a word processor (I gave her OpenOffice) Open office is a fully featured word processor that can read and produce the same format documents that any paid software like Microsoft Word ($250) plus it is an open sourced application meaning it can offer features Microsoft Word cant. Plus OpenOffice is free software.
Anyways by the time I was done installing the new OS I wasn’t feeling up to going and installing all those programs one by one. That’s not even including free software like Flash or Adobe Reader or Silverlight.
I stumbled upon a program called Ninite that gives you a list of Popular software and lets you easily select which applications you desire and download and installs them with one button.
